The European Commission (EC) has removed the interdict on Bulgaria to use EUR 1.25bn under the European operational programmes Regional Development and Transport earmarked for road infrastructure, stated Ivan Atanassov chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Roads Infrastructure Agency (NRIA). However, NRIA should comply with compatibility assessment procedures in order to obtain EC funds.
