Foreign investors display interest in Pernik-based steel mill Stomana, deputy premier and minister of economy Peter Jotev said. The Greek Vio Halco, a Russian consortium and a Dutch company are among them. The production of Stomana is in demand and of high quality, Jotev also said. According to Tsvetan Bankov, receiver of the plant, the ownership of the basic production site will be transferred to the lessee Steel Industry by the end of May. Investments worth USD 34m have been negotiated. The time limit for implementation of the rehabilitation plan is 5 years and it may even be reduced.
