In Apr'21, the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Bulgaria was 282.5k (+248.8% YoY) compared to 81.2k in Apr’20, when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. The visits from EU-member states reached 106.6k (+281% YoY) and accounted for 37.7% of the total foreign tourist arrivals during the month, while the visits from other European countries increased by 206.7% YoY to 141.7k and made up 50.1% of all visits to Bulgaria.
