"If the American companies AES and Entergy agree with the letter of support on the Maritsa East 1 and 3 projects, proposed by the Government, the Council of Ministers will make a decision on the matter on Thursday," Prime Minister Ivan Kostov told reporters Saturday, asked about his talks in the USA on American investments in the Bulgarian power industry. "In Washington I brought to the notice of the two American companies a draft letter of support to the government which rules out the furnishing of a state guarantee which they have repeatedly said they do not want for their investments in Bulgaria," Kostov said.
