The energy and water regulatory commission (EWRC) has approved a 10% increase of wholesale natural gas price to BGN 24.72/MWh (excl. transmission, grid access, excise and VAT) as of 1 October. This is the second month with an increase after 8 months on a downward trend. Note that the gas price is formed by a formula which takes into account the international gas prices and the USD/BGN exchange rate.
