Final results from snap elections released by the Central Election Commission (CEC) confirmed that 7 parties won seats in the new Parliament. We Continue the Change, recently formed party around two ministers from the previous caretaker government won elections with 25.67% which according to Dnevnik.bg will give them 67 MPs in the 240 seats Parliament. GERB-UDF was second with 22.74% (59 MPs expected) while third was Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – 13.79% (34 MPs). The race for the fourth place was won by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 10.21% (26 MPs) while the winner in July snap elections There is Such a People (ITN) remained with 9.52% (25 MPs). The last two parties in the Parliament will be Democratic Bulgaria coalition (6.37%; 16 MPs) and the nationalist party Revival with 4.86% (13 MPs).
In related news the leaders of We Continue the Change already started negotiations with the so-called protest parties ITN and Democratic Bulgaria as well as BSP for setting up a coalition agreement to form a new government. Kiril Petkov announced in media that the desire of We Continue the Change is to take a non-partisan approach in the negotiations for forming a government, by creating working groups with experts.
