The European Union will provide to the Bulgarian customs a modern X-ray equipment for a precise border control of trucks and containers. The devices will give the opportunity to control the vehicles in any place on the country's territory. The Bulgarian Customs Agency opened the offers for the equipment's supply from a German and US companies. The tender and the equipment purchase are financed by the European Union PHARE program. The three X-Ray machines are expected to cost around EUR 800,000. The European Customs Union will supervise the choice of the equipment supplier
