The Vratsa regional court has oked the recovery plan for the Chimco chemical plant tabled by shareholder Novo Chimco effectively terminating the insolvency procedure for the indebted urea maker. Under the plan, approved on Sept 30 by the company's creditors, the plant will be restored to 25% capacity by end-'05 thanks to a successfully brokered gas supply deal. After a 3-year grace period, Novo Chimco undertakes to settle all outstanding debts, currently exceeding 150 mln levs, over a 10-year timeframe. Inter RAO Bulgaria, which owns 33% of Chimco, said it will appeal the decisions of the creditors.
