In Q2’20 a total of 1.4k residential building permits were issued, which represents a 14.4% YoY drop. The total GBA under these permits decreased 23.6% YoY and stood at 823.6k m2. During the second quarter of 2020, 31 administrative and office buildings received permits (flat YoY) with total GBA of 18.3k m2 (-70.5% YoY). The construction of 979 residential building began in Q2’20 (-18.6%YoY) for a total GBA of 622.4k m2 (-14.2% YoY). The construction of 21 administrative and office spaces (-12.5% YoY) with a GBA of 28.8k m2 (-10.4% YoY) began during the quarter. The permits for Other constructs were 935 (-19.9% YoY) with 427.6k m2 of GBA (-27.4% YoY). In Other, the construction of new projects initiated in Q2’20 was 584, 7.2% more YoY with a 42.4% YoY drop in GBA (294.1k m2).
