The majority owner of Vratsa-based fertilizers producer Chimco, A.V.S.T. Trading, has decreased its stake in the company by 35% with a block deal on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. The deal was effected at BGN 0.21 per share. In May this year the Cyprus-based A.V.S.T. Trading Limited acquired 71% of Chimco's capital at BGN 0.15 per share in a debt settlement with former owner IBE Trans of New York. A.V.S.T. decreases its stake since otherwise it falls under the provisions of the Securities Act. After in June the State Securities Commission temporarily banned the tender offer for Chimco at the symbolic BGN 0.15 per share, the Securities Act does not allow the majority owner to exercise its voting rights in the general shareholders meeting.
