Bulgaria’s revenue from international tourism amounted to BGN 6.9bn in 2017, according to data from BNB. This represents an increase of 9.3% in comparison to the record high 2016. Foreign tourist visits to Bulgaria came at 8.9m, up 7.6% YoY. Greek and Romanian tourists’ visits surpassed 1m each.
