In May’22, the total business climate index declined 0.7% MoM. The sector with biggest decrease was Construction (-3.6% MoM), followed by Retail Trade (-2.2% MoM) and Industry (-0.8% MoM), while Service sector gained 4.3% MoM. Retail trade’s most serious factors, limiting the activity, are economic uncertainty, competition and insufficient demand. The main problems, facing the industry sector remain economic uncertainty, shortage of labour and lack of enough foreign and domestic demand. The problem in the construction sector continues to be uncertain economic environment, cost of materials and lack of labour hand. While managers in the service sector have favorable expectations about the business situation of the enterprises, the biggest challenges, facing the sector are economic uncertainty and competition.
