Bulgaria ranked most competitive amongst Balkan countries in the latest WEF report

The Global Competitiveness Index 4.0 ranks Bulgaria 51st in terms of competitiveness. The country scores high in adoption of new technologies, macroeconomic stability and innovation capability. In the Balkans, Bulgaria and Romania keep 51st and 52nd places respectively, followed by Greece (57th, -4 places), Turkey (61th, -3 places), Serbia (65th, +5 places), Croatia (68th, flat), Albania (76th, +4 places), Macedonia (84th, flat) and Bosnia (91th, -1 place). The index is developed by the World Economic Forum.
