A total of 1.838 m shares in Bulgaria's Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) changed hands on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday. Bulbank sold the package to HVB Bank Biochim. The stock was most likely purchased on behalf of Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA). The Austrian bank acquired 7.125m shares in CCB in the middle of January with the help of HVB Bank Biochim. If the information is confirmed, BA-CA will hold 13% of CCB's capital after the transaction. The stock was transferred at a price of BGN 8.19 per share. BA-CA obtained a week ago permission from the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) to hold a qualified stake of over 10 but less than 20% in CCB.
